Dear people of DeviantArt, I know some of you already do this, and I love you for it. Though, there are those who do not.
Lets say you spent 10 hours on a painting. You would want feedback right? Right.
For me, if I didn't get feedback I don't think I'd even put up stuff on here. I like to know what people think about my work and yes, this does include criticism. I believe it is a big factor in improving. I'm not saying that the only reason you should post art is to get people's opinions, but it really does give the creator a reason to keep going.
If you really like a piece, you should tell the artist. Favorites are okay and show that people like your stuff (though there are people who just go crazy with favoriting and fav everything they see.. I hate that), but taking the time to type out a comment really really makes an impact. Not only can people see that you enjoy their work, but it also lets them know what you liked about it, why you liked it, maybe what you'd change about it and so on.
So say your painting that you spent 10 hours on gets 6 favorites and 0 comments. Big whoop. Do you get anyone who lets you know their opinion? No. Do you really get anything?
Again, I'm not saying favoriting is useless; if you like something you should be able to go back and find it!
Commenting lets the artist know that you cared enough to type out a response. So next time you see a piece that you enjoy, try to leave a comment saying so! No harm can be done ^_^
This is all, bye-byee boo boo bears~ n.n

What BP2 is to me
Bipolar.
It’s the feeling of being overwhelmed
But in a good way
Ideas are rushing in
Euphoria
Anything is possible, you WILL succeed!
Conversation is made easy, no awkward silences
You feel good about your body
You’re pretty, you’re perfect just the way you are
You’re the life of the party, actively seeking out new people
You know this feeling will never end
You love life itself.
Bipolar.
It’s the feeling of being overwhelmed
But in a bad way
Mental cloudiness stumps you on every question
Despair
You’ll never amount to anything, you’re worthless
Talking to others is difficult and unnatural
You feel
Mental Hospitals are like Prison
"So, what are you in here for?" A kid pokes at me as I'm in tears.
You can't leave.
You have very, VERY minimal contact with the outside world.
You have to sleep with people you don't know.
I slept with a girl who had pulled out a knife on her family.
Another girl punched a hole in the wall during a rage episode.
You're forced to wear certain clothing.
Gross food.
Oh yeah, there are literally metal bars on the windows (blacked out windows) and around the outside
The staff is horrible and mean.
Terrible living conditions (even the metal toilet without a lid; yes those actually exist. They are not fun)
PEE IN A CUP. MAKE SURE U DON'T
My Black Dog
I think I've had the black dog all my life, but the first FOR SURE time I knew I had it was in 5th grade. I was 10 years old.
I assumed everyone had a black dog, and that I was just a weak shit.
Years went on and the black dog grew as I did. However, like a dog, it aged faster than I did. By 13 the black dog was too big for me to handle, so I would let it out to play. It helped a little bit. The black dog would leave only for a little bit. This was enough relief for me.
The older I got, the more stress piled on me. The black dog fed on my stress. It bit me and I screamed at people. It bit me and I lost friends. It bit me and I lost my s
That Person
June 24, 2014
It’s taken me forever to write about this. I’ve acknowledged it in my mind but I need a physical version of it.
Love is unconditional.
Every “relationship” I’ve had has been unsuccessful because I didn’t take the time to thoroughly get to know the person, and see if they would still like me after that long of time.
When I met him, I thought he didn’t really care about anything. He was strange. This kid doesn’t say much. I feel uncomfortable being around him.
He’s texting to me now? He must be the kind of guy that doesn’t have to balls to start talking to me in real

I know what you're saying with that. I'm one of those losers who faves nearly everything they see. >->; But I reserve comments for things that really evoke emotions. I'd rather fave, than not fave at all because it's nice.
I had the same discussion with one of my watchers about this too, and sometimes people don't have enough time to type out a heartfelt comment.
